Ultra-transparent optical glass is used primarily for technical components such as lenses‚prisms and mirrors for optical systems such as camera lenses or telescopes. It is comparable with crystal in terms of weight. After the ashtray has been cast‚the tobacco leaf motif is sandblasted into it and the cigar rest ground out. The surfaces are then machine ground and hand polished.
