Simon Bolivar, one of the great romantic figures of the 19th Century, liberated much of South America from Spanish rule. In 1901, seventy-one years after his death, the Rocha company in Havana commemorated him on their cigars. Bolivar’s distinctive portrait was featured on its bands and boxes to match his status.
These cigars are well constructed, wonderfully rich, full-bodied with consistent high quality in aroma and taste. Their wrappers are quite dark and their flavor strong. Definitely not recommended for beginners, except for the Royal Corona which is smoother than the rest of the assortment.
